Throwback to 2022!

It's hard to believe, but another year has come to an end, and it's time to think about New Year's resolutions and look back on the past year. The new year begins just as the old one ended: with full calendars and even fuller to-do lists.

We want to give you a little head start, so we've summarized the hairstyle trends of 2022 for you. With human hair extensions, you can try out countless new hairstyles. You can thank us later!

Fashion trends

The style trends of the past year remind us strongly of the '80s and '90s, but also of the '60s. Fashion trends included bold colors such as green and red, colorful tights and combining all kinds of different colors.

Lace-up crop tops and retro patterns were everywhere, and trench coats and balloon jeans were back in fashion too. The two funniest trends were definitely slippers as street shoes and balaclavas. Yes, you heard that right: balaclavas and slippers were among the big trends of the year.

Hair trends

One important accessory was the scrunchie. Familiar from the '80s and various TV series, this hair tie made a comeback in 2022. You could use it to style great trendy looks, such as a half-up-half-down updo or a sleek bun. With Ponytail Extensions, you can try out these on-trend styles.

Besides short hairstyles like the bob or the pixie cut, one very special hairstyle was back in fashion: the mullet. We could hardly believe it ourselves, but the haircut that's short at the front and long at the back really was in style in 2022, and many women in film and TV wore this cut. In any case, we're glad the year of the mullet is over. Other hairstyles that were very popular:

Long hairstyles:

Silky, shiny hair, lush waves, a sassy fringe – we saw all these trends in 2022. Baby braids were also in fashion: small braids that frame the face, made from the strands that hang right in front of it. You can easily style lush waves into your keratin bond extensions with a curling iron.

If you grew up in the '90s, you may also remember the iconic Rachel cut. It made a comeback in 2022, too.

TV series such as The Queen's Gambit made red a trend color, but brown, gold and, above all, natural hair colors were also seen more and more often on the runways and in the tabloids.

As you can see, 2022 was a wild year for hairstyles. We got to follow and try them all, and we hope 2023 will bring more stunning haircuts and unusual color trends.
